Article sur le reishiki (étiquette)

voici un exemple de reishiki connu ailleurs dans le monde :
The following are general guidelines in “Reishiki” in the Fighting Arts:

1. Always address Sensei as “Sensei”. Address the senior’s as “Sempai”.

2. Perform the “Rei” or “Bow” in the proper manner as taught by the Sempai.

3. When receiving something be it a certificate, obi, or other equipment always use both hands, palms up, to take control of the gift.

4. Do not make comments and/or suggestions while training/practicing.

5. There is no arguing, ever.

6. When in receipt of guidance from Sensei/Sempai always respond with “Hai, Sensei” and only if you truly understand.

7. Remain alert and focused on Sensei when he/she is addressing the entire group.

8. Never discuss promotions; never request to learn something new.

9. No extraneous clothing, i.e. jewelry, watches, chains, etc.

10. If you must cross in front of or between individuals hold out your right hand, palm facing to the left, thumb toward the ceiling, say excuse me, and then pass.

11. Change in the changing room, adjust/correct your keiko-gi/do-gi by turning away from the front of the training hall and Sensei, make the adjustment quickly, and then return to your focus on what is occurring in the training hall.

12. If discussing matters of the training hall with another remain quiet and soft spoken. Keep your peripheral vision aware of all that is going on and be prepared to focus at a moments notice.

13. The training hall is for training and practice. Anything else, take it out of the training hall.

14. Always “rei” when entering and leaving the training hall practice area or the dojo floor proper.

15. If you are late wait at the edge of the training hall floor proper until acknowledged by Sensei/Sempai then quickly take a place at the back of the group until a proper time to assume your proper position.

16. When sitting Seiza never show the bottom of your feet to the shoman.

17. When not practicing/training/participating remain vigilant and focused on what the group is doing.

18. Got a question, raise your hand; wait for Sensei to acknowledge; stand quietly to the side and wait for Sensei to acknowledge, etc.

19. If you use the training hall equipment make sure you return it to its proper place in the same condition as when you borrowed it, etc
